Autumn Elizabeth Lee

There has been so much sorrow these past few days, and yet Autumn Manz has caused so many to love the Lord even more, to trust Him more and to know that He is good and perfect and His ways are perfect. How can so much joy and love come from such a great and tragic loss? Read below our pastors message to us this morning. I hope it encourages you and I pray all who read this will know the hope, joy and peace of Christ that this world can never offer.

We have all been impacted by Autumn Manz’s brief life of 9 months. If you have not already, I would encourage you to read Kendall’s blog . Kurt and Kendall have become living epistles of faith in the God who has loved us, and who Himself suffered to the uttermost for us. Through them, we are being exhorted to walk by faith and not by sight. In them, we read that the Lord’s loving kindness is better than life. In them, we read of a Lord who is worth trusting, though He leads us through dark valleys. In them, we read of the hope that is ours in Jesus Christ that goes far beyond a vaporous life in this sin-cursed time – a hope that extends to a restoration of things in the new heavens and the new earth, where all the wrongs are righted – where the light affliction which was but for a moment has become for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory – where joy will abound to heights that could never have been known had it not been for the circumstances of pain and suffering in the now.

“ For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake.” Phil. 1:29

In the love of Christ,

  1. Oh Julie. How more precious can life get. Thank you for sharing this. I cannot begin to imagine walking such a journey. This young Momma is truly blessed.

  2. I have read most of her blog and have been deeply touched. I cannot imagine going through what they have, but I know where in they get their strength…day by day. They are an inspiration to many, and even though I don’t know them personally, reading about their tragety and how they are walking through it, makes me want to. I will pray for them.
